ELKAY Chemicals offers a wide range of dimethyl silicone fluid in various viscosity that have a combination of properties that give superior performance in a wide variety of applications. Dimethyl silicone fluid (LK-SIL 100T) is industrial grade silicone fluid. It is clear, low characteristic odor, Dimethyl polysiloxane fluids. The actual viscosity is controlled within +/-5% of the desired viscosity. These fluids are manufactured in the viscosity range from 20 cps to 100k cps. In chemical structure dimethyl silicone fluids are quite different from other fluids having a backbone of silicone-oxygen linkage. The advantage of this is a linkage much stronger than a typical carbon-carbon chain and is more resistant to attack by temperature extremes, oxidation, shear stresses and chemicals than other similar organic fluids and also show good dielectric properties. Dimethyl silicone fluid (LK-SIL 100T) is soluble in hydrocarbon solvents, chlorinated hydrocarbon solvents and low molecular weight aromatic solvents. They have limited solubility in alcohols, ethers, acetone and glycols (depending on viscosity)

They are especially useful for cottons, saris, suiting, etc to impart softness and body to the fabric. Choice of fluid depends on type of softness required and coloration.

Product Selection Guide :
Textile finishing fluid (LK-ASF-SS 90) for best surface smoothness and softness is achieved by, which also is perfectly non-yellowing and must always be used in the macro emulsion form. Textile finishing fluid (LK-ASF-SS 82) is for better inner softness and a silkier feel is recommended. If inner softness is desired but yellowing is a concern. Textile finishing fluid (LK-ASF-SS 130) is advised for use. Textile finishing fluid (LK ASF SS 20) is recommended for surface smoothness and bounce.

Amino silicone fluid (LK-ASF 09), is textile finishing fluids that give excellent surface smoothness along with softness and durability.

They are especially useful for cotton, saris, suiting, etc to impart softness, bounce and body to the fabric. Choice of fluid depends on type and degree of softness required and coloration.

Product Selection Guide :
Reactive silicone fluid (LK-ASF R 25) fluid is recommended for an excellent balance of softness and bounce. Reactive silicone fluid (LK-ASF R 13) is suggested for white and lighter colored fabrics. Reactive silicone fluid (LKASF R 89) shows the excellent softness, bounce and increase body. Reactive silicone fluid (LK-ASF R 32) is advised for super softness, it gives a slight sacrifice in bounce however. If yellowing is not a concern. Reactive silicone fluid (LK-ASF R 35) is suggested for requirements of better body and a stiffer fall. Reactive silicone fluid (LK-ASF R 20) is recommended for an excellent balance of softness and bounce & cost . Reactive silicone fluid (LK-ASF R 43) provide supper softness along with excellent bounce.

Methyl hydrogen polysiloxane fluids (LK-RX22H), cure to give a durable film, can be diluted in solvents, for better dispersion, non-toxic and colorless in nature, Effective at very low concentration.

Methyl Hydrogen polysiloxane fluid can be used in :

• Hydrosilytion reaction
• Basic raw material for silicone-cabon bond reactions.

Methyl silicone fluid (LK-RX22D), cure to give a durable film, can be diluted in solvents, for better dispersion, non-toxic and colorless in nature, Effective at very low concentration.

Methyl silicone fluid can be used for :

• Dry chemical powder coating.
• Hydrophobing of plaster blocks and plasterboard.
• Treatment for powders and granular materials to make them water repellent and free flowing, and reduce cracking.

Silicone glycol copolymer (LK-7030) is soluble in water, alcohol and hydroalcoholic systems. It is hydrolytically stable. Silicone glycol copolymer is clear to slight hazy faint amber colour viscous liquid.

• It makes very stable formulations.
• Compatible with wide range of cosmetic ingredients.
• Usage level is very low.
• Good foam builder.
• Silicone glycol copolymer (LK-7030) fluid gives stable foam, stability of water solutions containing upto 5% LK-7030 fluids are excellent. Acid or Alkaline extremes reduce stability. Resin plasticizer in styling products. Humectant, emollient in skin products.

Carboxy silicone fluid (LK-CRX 500), is a carboxy modified silicone fluid that give excellent body without yellowing the fabric. Carboxy silicone fluid is also an excellent base fluid for formulations giving high body. It is recommended for use with LK-ASF fluids and LK-EMS 5110 to enhance the bulkiness and bounce of the fiber and to give a unique fall.

Carboxy silicone fluid (LK-CRX 500) can be easily converted into emulsions by using non-ionic emulsifiers. These emulsions can be used in textiles & leather to significantly increas the body of the fabric depending on the amount used. They are useful on all substrate like cotton, wool, viscose, acrylic, polyester and blends to give a durable finish capable of withstanding multiple laundering.

Epoxy silicone fluid (LK-EMS 5110) is an epoxy modified silicone fluid that gives softness with a dry feel without yellowing fabrics. It is especially recommended for use with LK-ASF textile finishing fluid and LK CRX carboxy fluid to give increased body and bounce to the fabric.

• It gives a soft handle with dry feel.
• Resistant to washing and abrasion
• Non-yellowing
• Readily forms emulsions that are dilution stable.
• Epoxy functional silicone
• 100% active.
• Emulsion stable in up to 600-ppm hard water and 0.1% electrolyte.
• Can be used with other LK-ASF fluids or LK-Carboxy fluids to give elastomeric finishes.

Epoxy silicone fluid (LK-EMS 5110) can be easily converted into emulsions by using non-ionic emulsifiers. These emulsions can be used in textiles & leather to generate soft handle with a dry feel that is capable of withstanding repeated washing cycles. The emulsions can be applied alone or in combination with current durable press resins. They also give better wrinkle recovery and better tear strength to the fabric. Epoxy silicone fluid (LK-EMS 5110) can be used alone, for which the use of catalysts such as zirconium acetate or magnesium chloride is advised to ensure durability and better performance.

Silicone spray (LK-AG 100) is non-ionic spray adjuvant. Silicone spray is very effective in spreading & wetting of vegetable leafs, fruits etc. Which in turn allows effective distribution of pesticide & fungicide there by gives superior crop protection which reduce the requirement of pesticides & fungicides.
